UNFIX Festival: ReBirth! Great Auk Collective - Circle:Cycle

A meditation on extinction and renewal, opening a space for grief and hope. We face the sixth mass extinction event on our planet. We face unimaginable loss in our ecosystems. Countless species are set to disappear. You are invited to participate in a ritual using sound and sand to explore cycles of creation and destruction, reflecting on the entropy and biodiversity loss caused by our insatiable consumer-driven economies, finally pondering the ever-changing and ultimately unknowable nature of all existence.

Great Auk Collective are an assemblage of musicians, performers, dancers and activists concerned with extinction and other matters of ultimate concern. The members are Svenja Meyerricks, Gayle Brogan, Luke Devlin and Ceylan Hay.
