WARM Sundays Kathryn Ashill

WARM Sundays
For the second WARM Sundays event, Kathryn Ashill will present the text from her recent performance, Soothing Suck. Conceived as a continuation of an earlier work, Lovebite, the piece probes the behaviours of leeches, such as cannibalism and draining other bodies' resources.
You are invited to take part in a conversation with Kathryn as she critically reflects on the work.
Kathryn Ashill is a Glasgow-based artist. Using both live performance and its representation via documentation, Kathryn aims to pursue theatricality in the everyday whilst sharing her observations on autobiography, people, history and site.
Soothing Suck was created as part of 'In/Human: The Body as Resource' curated by the MLitt Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) at GSA in March 2017.
WARM is a support network founded by and for women working as artists in Glasgow.
WARM Sundays are an ongoing series of workshops programmed by members and centered around supportive critical discussion.
