This event invites you to take part in reflective session and discussion on the progress and challenges of DOT TO DOT Maryhill Station as well as plastic waste recovery through REPLASTICO2 and Remedoo projects.

DOT TO DOT Maryhill Station is a unique combination of ecological design, social technology and community-led initiatives to transform waste into a social value and recover urban voids throughout digital community empowerment. Since last April DOT TO DOT consortium with active citizens were outing their efforts to transform vacant site in 636 Maryhill to serve as community gathering and learning space.

REPLASTICO2© is the first local plastic brand that connects craft design + plastic waste + social network. REPLASTICO2© connects wearing craft design, plastic waste and home-maker networks. We assist with experimental design, environmental education and creative production of reused plastic waste in three simple steps: IRONING, CUTTING and SEWING. As "social plastic", it helps to solve environmental and social problems in cities with creativity, environmental awareness and affordability.

Remedoo is project by primary six pupils of Highpark Primary School, who decided that hey want to do more than just to learn about plastic waste. They wanted to take charge, be active, help to inform other and tackle plastic waste in their local community. Remedoo is an exciting project where pupils have researched ways to reuse plastic in interesting ways. They have investigated, designed and made their own products to sell.
