Weekend of Improvisation in Glasgow III: Workshop by ICEBERG
Fri 10 January 2020
WIG returns to the CCA, in its 3rd incarnation!
To kick off WIG III, ICEBERG will run a public workshop introducing participants to their diverse improvisation practices.
Drawing on their dance, music and theatre skills, ICEBERG will lead participants through their approaches of using music and sound as a stimulus for improvisation. This workshop is open to anyone who wishes to deepen their understanding and develop existing improvisation skills, as well as those who want to meet improvisation for the first time.
ICEBERG offer a bundle ticket for the two workshops (Friday 10th & Sunday 12th January), and the Saturday performance for £20/£13. To book for this event or the bundle ticket, please contact Zoe on firstname.lastname@example.org
ICEBERG is an international group of professional dancers, musicians and theatre practitioners, with improvisation at the heart of their practice. ICEBERG is committed to highlighting improvisation as an exciting, dynamic and highly-skilled form. They want to create a monthly curated improvisation performance space and in the longterm, a peer to peer workshop environment where multidisciplinary artists ― whether early stage practitioners, students or professional practitioners ― can work together, creating a professional, encouraging and supportive space for new working relationships that will feedback into the ecosystem of Glasgow's art and performance scene.
