Nae need tae gan oan owrelang

Aboot the lied, its history o trauchle

Enough that we ken wi every leevin braith –‘

thi daith o ony leid’s a country’s daith”

Wheen has 116 poems in Scots written over the course of 30 years, covering eleven very varied subjects and is published by Ulster Scots Community Network.

These poems speak out loud and clear about the here and now. Nothing backward-looking or antique, no here's-tae-us-wha's-like-us couthiness in this tough and lively collection in language that's full of relish and stramash. - Liz Lochead

Stuart is a writer, award-winning poet, performer & workshopper in Scots & English, ex BBC Scotland Poet in Residence. In 2020, he was publicly voted Scots Writer of the Year at the national Scots Language Awards.
