Introducing Journey to the East Festival 2021 – curated by Jian Yi and produced by JTTE Productions, bringing together a superstar line-up of contemporary performance and dance over a summer weekend in Glasgow.

The Friday opening at CCA features the Scottish premiere of Yingmei Duan’s Happy Yingmei. Born in China, Yingmei Duan is part of the original Chinese avant-garde; for many years living in the legendary art district of Beijing’s East Village and contemporary of Ai Weiwei and Zhang Huan. Her works have been performed in the Venice Biennale, Biennale of Sydney and Hayward Gallery London, among many locations around the world.
