CANCELLED Loud Poets Lions, and tigers, and bears! Oh, my!

Wed 26 September 2018

Please note, this event has been cancelled.

Following the fire at Glasgow School of Art and the O2 ABC music venue, the Centre for Contemporary Arts remains within the cordoned area in Garnethill. At this time, we expect to remain closed until Monday 15 October.

We are working with our programme partners who had scheduled events throughout this period. Details of new venues and cancellations are here.

For the last four years Loud Poets have been one of the UK’s most successful spoken word collectives. In addition to running monthly showcases in Edinburgh and Glasgow, they have turned their Edinburgh Fringe show (now in its fifth year at the Scottish Storytelling Centre) into the premier spoken word show in town and toured it to festivals including Brighton Fringe, Prague Fringe, and VAULT Festival.

Now they are bringing a brand new show featuring a fresh format and the UK’s top spoken word talent to CCA. With their unique style of combining live spoken word poetry, music, film, and games this will be a poetry show like no other!

This is make some noise, fist-thumping, pint-drinking, side-tickling, heartwrenching poetry.
This is poetry for the masses.

"There’s a humour; poignancy and most of all a confidence which serves to inspire."
The Scotsman

“Go listen to Loud Poets and hear them say the things you've been trying to say yourself."

"Loud Poets give me a reason to live."
